Absolutely exquisite! Had a beautiful meal with family couldn't have enjoyed the experience more. I am vegan so natural ordered the one vegan entree on the menu Summer Squash Curry. (Which I was happy to see one, it's a rarity in smaller towns) Outstanding flavor profile to this dish. Completely blown away. During the appetizer portion of our meal one of my family members ordered a plethora of breads and spreads. Knowing that my chances were slim on getting to sample some of the spreads I tracked down our server in order to ask if any were vegan (i don't like to make a big deal in front of family about my dietary limitations in social settings it hinders the cause) she consulted the chef and I was told they would bring out some vegan bread and that one of the spreads was safe for me to eat! I was thrilled. A few moments later our server brought out a whole new appetizer just for me and 100% vegan!!!!!! I may be a bit bias but I think it takes much more talent to cook vegan foods since there are such limits to what ingredients you can and cannot use and to whip up something on the spot like that was so kind and thoughtful and creative that I just had to come to yelp to applaud you, thank you to the chef who prepared my meal tonight!!! I was touched

Hotel is great but avoid this restaurant at all costs. Super rude waitstaff and even with 12 waitstaff and only 15 patrons, it took 2.5 hours to get dinner and angry service. Such a bummer... Especially for the price.

Vegans - go to this restaurant, this weekend! If you're searching for a slightly posh, waterside dining experience for an early evening vegan date - look no further. We easily made reservations online for 6:30, had outdoor seating under a white cabana of sorts, and enjoyed a perfect apple martini while listening to the rhythmic crashing waves across the green lawn behind us. Our waiter mentioned that the resort owners are health-conscious and are known to enjoy plant-based foods, so there are a few key menu items for you to test out: "Raw" - a beet ravioli salad (my wife's favorite) Gazpacho - a cool, sweet and tomatoey goodness "Vegan" - two grilled portabellas with a rich, deep sun-dried tomato pesto with lots of color and substance (no picture because we devoured it!) We finished the date off with a vegan cheese cake with blueberry puree and fresh blueberries dotting the plate. It was yummy, with hints of coffee tones. The complimentary valet service was an added stress reliever, without needing to worry about parking. We'll be back for sure. Hope to see you there : )

Never felt so ignored by a server in my life.. I can't decide if she was truly that ignorant or just that apathetic. When our cheese board, our appetizers and even our entrees came out, we were not checked on until well after their completion. I waited at least 15 minutes on a glass of white wine, I saw it being poured in a timely manner, as we were seated near the bar. However, it sat warming until I had to dramatically flag down our server and request my wine again. She did not even attempt to wipe the glass, which was saturated in condensation from sitting there sweating for entirely too long. No apologies, she dropped the hot slippery glass of white wine and ran. This was a common theme throughout the meal, it actually became comical how awful she was. A bottle of wine ordered was served without any wine tasting service and our waitress could hardly open the bottle. Cocktails were served straight up when ordered on the rocks. Kettle one martini ordered, she recommended Smirnoff? (I thought that meant they did not carry Kettle, but they do. Never been somewhere that servers attempt to down sell your liquor to a lesser selection? I think everyone that worked there were high school aged & didn't know better.) Staff training is lacking! We would have ordered several more rounds, but decided to save ourselves the wait on warm cocktails and went back to our house for a round instead. Food was served cold and one dish was inedible( the flounder was mushy and "crusted" actually meant soggy and bland) and we insisted on it being taken off the bill. All the food had long died in the window before being served. The waitress knew very little about the menu and for the prices, service should have been much better. This is a 50 dollar plus per head restaurant, not red lobster. When the food runner brought our food out, he ran into giant fake plant with our meal, so our presentation was sloshy and looked like someone ran their fingers through our plates. The other people in the party ordered the filet and crab cake and the food runner had no idea where the plates belonged and was about to just set them down without any caring of who had what and temperature. Once we questioned him on which steak was what temperature, he said he could ask our server. (Who continually cannot be found, we say no thanks, we can figure it out ourselves and switch if we need to). This is not a big deal, however any restaurant that calls themselves "fine dining" should never allow this to happen. When our server finally surfaces, she inquires about dessert and we said "Yuck and Oh God No!", our waitress commented "thats what I thought you would say." She knew we were having a horrible dining experience and just didn't care. She would just take away a plate full of uneaten food and not ever ask if something was wrong. Finally we asked for the manager and told her we weren't paying for the fish which was inedible. We are never one to complain to a server, send food back, or ask for management. But this experience was wrong on so many levels, I cannot even fully explain! Worst dining experience I have had in many many years. Worst part was that no one cared to make it right or even attempted to pretend like they gave a shit.
